Job Description

Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor reports to National Projects and Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the entire maintenance department of the site including future sites.

The successful candidate will guide a group of maintenance people stationed at the site. Work performed will include electrical and plumbing installation, maintenance and repairs. Special focus must be given to preventative maintenance processes, skills transfer and health, safety and risk management

Duties and Responsibilities

Implement preventative maintenance programs and monitoring systems

Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues

Check electrical and plumbing systems of buildings to ensure functionality and standardization.

Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities, inclusive of new incubator installations

Allocate work projects to the maintenance team

Monitor equipment inventory and place

orders when necessary

Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance

Manage relationships with contractors and service providers

Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities

Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

Work with site managers in terms of maintenance requirements

Electrical experience

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Microsoft office suite skills

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Electrical maintenance and general maintenance.

Academic/Education status/

10+3 Diploma, Level-3 and above

Degree

Professional/Area of study/

Electrical Technology

Electrical Engineering

Electrical Industrial control drive, and in other related fields
