Equity Bank Wealth Management Specialist Jobs in Kenya; The Wealth Management Specialist will work with Universal RMs to support business originated through the branch network, equipping RMs with private wealth expertise, and independently originating and managing relationships with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs), Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs), and institutional clients.

Serves as a pivotal technical expert driving delivery of sophisticated wealth management solutions, enabling personalized investment strategies for mass-affluent and high-net-worth clients across East Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Origination

  • Develop and execute strategies to originate new wealth management clients independently

    Client Advisory & Relationship Management

  • Provide advisory services including portfolio management, tax optimization, succession planning, and philanthropic structuring

    Supporting Universal RMs

  • Partner with Universal RMs to identify and develop wealth management opportunities within their client base

    Capacity Building & Training

  • Enhance technical capabilities of Universal RMs through structured learning programs on private wealth solutions and global best practices

    Product & Market Expertise

  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure offerings are competitive, innovative, and tailored to client needs in Sub-Saharan Africa

    Compliance & Execution

  • Ensure all client engagements and transactions adhere to EIB’s compliance standards and regulatory requirements

    Experience Requirements

  • 7–10 years’ experience in wealth management, private banking, or financial advisory roles with regional or international exposure

  • Demonstrable success in originating and managing relationships
    with HNWIs and UHNWIs

    Academic Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields

  • Master’s Degree, MBA, or professional certifications (CFA, CIFA, CISI) preferred

    Key Technical Skills & Leadership Competencies

  • Client Advisory Excellence – ability to deliver personalized solutions reflecting deep client understanding

  • Market & Product Expertise – extensive knowledge of global and regional financial markets and wealth products

  • Collaboration & Leadership – strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with RMs and stakeholders

  • Business Acumen – proven track record of growing AUM and generating revenue through strategic business development

  • Training & Mentorship – ability to enhance skills of Universal RMs through effective training

  • Professional Integrity – commitment to discretion, compliance, and ethical conduct
