Equity Bank Kenya Finance Systems and Process Management Lead Jobs
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyse Finance business processes across the Group to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, duplication, and opportunities for standardisation.
Recommend and support implementation of process improvements that enhance accuracy, timeliness, governance, and user experience.
Support standardisation of Finance policies, procedures, operating models, and controls across subsidiaries.
Assess Finance system needs and define business requirements for new or enhanced system capabilities.
Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in existing Finance systems, workflows, data flows, reports, and controls.
Work with IT, vendors, and business users to translate Finance requirements into practical system and process design outputs.
Lead or support Finance system and process improvement initiatives from requirements definition through design, testing, data migration, deployment, and post‑go‑live support.
Coordinate UAT, issue resolution, cutover readiness, and transition to business‑as‑usual support.
Act as SME for Oracle E‑Business Suite, EPM, banking Finance processes, and related enterprise platforms.
Support adoption of digitisation, AI, RPA, and emerging technologies to improve Finance efficiency, controls, and analytics.
Prepare and deliver training for end users on Finance system and process enhancements.
Develop user guides, process documentation, change communications, and support materials to drive adoption.
Core Accountabilities & Deliverables
Finance systems and processes aligned to Group strategy and Finance transformation priorities.
Documented process reviews, gap assessments, business requirements, and improvement recommendations.
Implemented system and process enhancements that improve efficiency, controls, governance, and user experience.
Effective UAT, data migration support, training, adoption, and post‑go‑live stabilisation.
Timely resolution or escalation of Finance system and process issues.
Updated process documentation, user guides, training materials, and change management artefacts.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
Deep knowledge of Oracle E‑Business Suite core Finance modules and related end‑to‑end Finance processes.
Working knowledge of Oracle EPM modules and financial reporting, planning, budgeting, or consolidation processes.
Strong understanding of banking Finance processes and source systems, including Finacle
and Way4.
Good knowledge of process mapping, requirements definition, system design, UAT, data migration, and controls design.
Strong appreciation of digitisation, AI, RPA, workflow automation, and emerging technology use cases in Finance.
Leadership & Behavioural Competencies
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis skills.
Effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and user training skills.
Ability to work across functions and subsidiaries to deliver practical outcomes.
High attention to detail, control mindset, ownership, and delivery orientation.
Change agility and ability to support users through transformation.
Experience Requirements
5–8 years’ experience in Finance systems, Finance transformation, or business process improvement within financial services.
Hands‑on experience supporting or implementing Finance systems and process improvement initiatives.
Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite core Finance modules and Oracle EPM modules.
Experience with banking systems and Finance processes, including Finacle and Way4.
Experience in requirements gathering, system/process design, testing, data migration, user training, go‑live support, and issue resolution.
Exposure to multi‑country or Group‑level Finance operations an added advantage.
Academic Qualifications & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Technology, or related discipline.
Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CISA, or CIMA an added advantage.
Project management, business analysis, process improvement, automation, or ERP certification an added advantage.
