Equity Afia Dentist Jobs in Kenya; The Dentist is responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating oral health conditions to improve patients’ dental hygiene and overall wellbeing. The role involves performing routine check‑ups, restorative procedures, and educating patients on proper oral care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of oral health conditions.

  • Perform preventive dental procedures and restorative treatments.

  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and proper dental care practices.

  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control practices.

  • Maintain accurate healthcare documentation and reporting.

  • Utilize Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) for patient records.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery from a recognized university.

  • Registration and valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

  • Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).

  • At least one year of post‑internship experience in a hospital setting.

  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.

  • Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially HMIS.

    Desirable Competencies

  • Strong clinical decision‑making and patient management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of Kenyan laws, regulations, guidelines, and health schemes.

  • Excellent report writing skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
