Engineers Board of Kenya Principal Supply Chain Management Officer Jobs in Kenya

Purpose

The Principal Supply Chain Management Officer will be responsible for implementation of efficient and effective systems of acquisition of Goods, works and services as well as disposal of Asset.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -

Providing input into the annual procurement and disposal plans;

Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans;

Coordinating procurement and disposal activities;

Preparing contract documents for goods, works and services;

Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services;

Providing secretariat to committees incidental to procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;

Overseeing periodic and annual stocktaking exercise;

Coordinating disposal of assets activities; and

Preparing draft statutory reports to Public Procurement Review Authority (PPRA).

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must: -

Have six (6) years relevant work experience in public or private;

Have Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Have Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management,Logistics or equivalent qualification from a

recognized institution;

Have Diploma in Supplies Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Be Member of professional body either KISM or CIPSin good standing;

Have a management course lasting not less than four(4) weeks from a recognized institution;

Have Demonstrated results in work performance; and

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the-Constitution
