Engineering Industry Accounts Assistant Jobs in Nairobi, Kenya

Our Client in the engineering industry seeks to hire a competent Accounts Assistant who will provide support to the Finance team.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivables

Bank reconciliations

Petty cash management

Compliance management – Filing of taxes; VAT, WHT, Catering Levy, and Payroll statutory.

Payroll management

Manage account payables

Providing support to the Accounting Department.

Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.

Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.

Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.

Preparing financial reports.

Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) or a Degree in a business-related field

Minimum CPA Section II

A minimum of 2 – 3 years experience in a similar role

Experience in the usage of accounting software preferably Sage or Pastel and ERP systems

Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Good with numbers

Attention to detail

Excellent communication skills
