Job Summary

  • The Region Cluster Coordinator under the supervision of the Project Director will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of EngenderHealth’s project/s in Awash Cluster of afar region.

  • They will be responsible for leading the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all project activities in the cluster.

  • The Regional Cluster Coordinator will also represent EngenderHealth in relevant forums and will ensure the establishment of functioning partnership with all reverent stakeholders in the region.

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall management of Engender Heath’s cluster office.

  • Develop annual operations plan for the region and works in close collaboration and partnership with regional governments and partners.

  • Responsible for day to day project implementation and coordination in the cluster and provides overall support, coaching and guidance to program officers under their supervision to ensure proper implementation of project activities.

  • Produce quarterly and annual progress reports for the activities in the region.

  • Represent EngenderHealth/Ethiopia in the relevant zones/cluster

  • Encourage good practice by promoting and championing the child protection policy and procedures and respond appropriately to disclosures or concerns which relate to the well-being of a child or vulnerable person.

    Job Requirements

    Education & Experience

  • First degree in Medicine or Public Health: Medical doctor with program management experience or Public health with clinical RH service provision experience.

  • Six (5+) years’ experience for first degree and Four (4+) years’ experience for masters in managing and coordinating FP/RH related programs preferable in NGO.

  • Experience with and understanding of the Regional, Zonal and Woreda level health system.

  • Demonstrated experience of working effectively safeguarding children and vulnerable populations.

  • Travels up to 60% of the time and support other regions as needed
