Emerge Egress Consulting Conveyancing Advocate - Nairobi Jobs in Kenya;We are a reputable, fast‑growing medium‑sized law firm in Kenya specializing in commercial and property law, driven by a collaborative culture and a commitment to professional excellence and client‑focused solutions.

To support our busy department, we are seeking an ambitious, detail‑oriented Real Estate & Conveyancing Associate with a strong command of Kenyan land laws, statutory compliance and registry procedures, who can independently and efficiently manage end‑to‑end property transactions.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough due diligence on properties, including official searches at the Lands Registry, Companies Registry and Local Authorities to verify ownership and uncover encumbrances.

  • Draft, review and negotiate legal instruments including Sale Agreements, Leases, Transfers, Charges, perfection of securities and Discharges of Charges.

  • Prepare and issue professional terms of engagement, fee notes and completion documents.

  • Ensure proper execution, attestation and stamping of all legal documentation in line with statutory requirements.

  • Manage end‑to‑end conveyancing process for vendors and purchasers, coordinating with financiers, mortgage lenders, estate agents, valuers and surveyors.

  • Oversee document lodging, tracking and registration at the Lands Registry and other relevant government offices.

  • Provide clear, sound legal opinions on Kenyan real estate
    law, property development, land use and tenant‑landlord regulations.

  • Handle post‑completion matters such as securing and handing over title deeds, closing registry files and ensuring utility or rate clearances.

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

    Job Specifications & Qualifications

  • Holder of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from an accredited institution.

  • Possession of a current and valid Practicing Certificate.

  • Minimum two (2) years of hands‑on post‑admission practice within a fast‑paced conveyancing environment.
