Job Description

  • Develop training manual, conduct and provide training for youth in “Cleaning and Disinfecting skills training”.

  • The training will focus on cleaning and disinfecting in the construction site it contains disinfecting methodologies, cleaning service in construction site, effective housekeeping, environmental cleaning supplies & equipment and entrepreneurship.

    Introduction

  • Unemployment is among the serious social problems of both developed and developing nations that hamper the over development endeavored of nations.

  • Ethiopia being a developing country shares the same burden that a huge number of unemployed labors without productive skills prevailed. Lack of skills plus absence of work exuberate the problems of unemployment that leads to serious social problems.

  • EMD is a private owned construction finishing works and training center officially established in 2008 with the objective of providing construction finishing training to potential trainees. Since its establishment, the Center has been giving training for more than – persons. Currently, the center is promoted to college and continuing in providing the trainings both in Addis Ababa & Baherdar in the Amhara Regional State.

  • EMD in close collaboration with Save the children international has commenced implementing a pilot project LI-WAY to address the problems of unemployment through facilitating demand orientated skills training to the selected persons living in three sub city of Addis Ababa.

  • One of the work streams that EMD agreed with Save the Children in LI-WAY program is providing cleaning and disinfecting skills to the target groups selected from three Cub Cities.

  • To this effect, the institution would like to procure experience professionals that could develop training materials and conduct the trainings to the targets.

    Objective of the Assignment

  • To develop a separate training manual on cleaning and disinfecting skill training the training manuals includes the following major topics among others.

  • Cleaning and Disinfecting Skills Training

  • Disinfecting methodologies

  • Cleaning service in construction site

  • Effective housekeeping

  • Environmental cleaning supplies and equipment

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Develop cleaning and disinfecting skills training manual /TTLM/ separately in the context of TVET trainees.

  • Prepare necessary handouts for the participants on the basis of the approved training manual.

  • Deliver two months and fifteen days training program for 750 target groups’ maximum 25 participants in each in coordination with EMD.

  • Prepare a training delivery schedule with full itinerary of the events;

  • Arrange training venue, materials and other necessary arrangements for the participants in collaboration with EMD.

  • Prepare and submit the training reports for each round and also a compilation reports of training programs with photographs of the participants and

  • Submit the final Training Manual and training module based on TTLM (documents, power points slides, group work exercise).

    Expected outputs and Deliverables

  • Prepare and submit course outline, course contents, handouts, training delivery schedule,

  • Submit report on the delivery of two round trainings programs and train 750 persons,
    Conduct pre and post evaluation of each training;

  • Submit output based progress report for each training program and

  • Final report of fall training programs including list of trainees with full contact details of individual participants.

    Job Requirements

    Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum four years of experience in providing/conducting training and developing training guideline/manuals.

    Selection criteria

  • 3-5 years proven experience and capacity to develop training maul /TTLM/ and conduct trainings;

  • Proven experience in documentation, reporting and evaluation of training manuals;

  • Working experience in higher institutions is a strong advantage

  • Only a single technically responsive and finally viable organization/person will be selected.

  • Cumulative evaluation method will use for this procurement exercise and contract will be awarded to highest scorer in cumulative analysis considering Technical and Financial Evaluation.

  • The technical proposal will conatain70% and financial proposal will contain 30% weight while technical proposal passing score is 70%.
