Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi Engineer (Research and Designs) Jobs

Internship Period: 11 Months

JOB PURPOSE

To carry out engineering research, designs and specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Plan and implement engineering research programmes.
2. Design or modify engineering designs and specifications.
3. Evaluate and identify necessary modifications to specifications and designs.
4. Research and identify new technologies to enhance distribution business of ESCOM.
5. Design new engineering products, work procedures and processes to enhance cost-efficiency and quality of service delivery.
6. Investigate and evaluate practical applicability of scientific theories and engineering principles basic to the development and improvement of various engineering systems.
7. Prepare and submit periodic reports.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• The ideal candidate must have a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or any business-related field
• Those with practical experience in a related field in a busy environment shall have an added advantage.

• Impeccable skills in Microsoft office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc).
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a high-pressure setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical skills.

• Detail-oriented personality.
• Ability to operate effectively independently and as part of a team.
