Our client, one of the world’s leading manufacturer of personal care products is looking to fill the position of Electrical Technician.

    Role Summary

  • Carry out execution of electrical and instrument tasks, working closely with the Production Engineers and Shift Managers
  • To undertake routine maintenance, servicing and updating of the electrical systems and appliances.
  • Design and execute PM tasks.
  • Trace, diagnose and rectify faults using appropriate testing and measuring equipment, ensuring systems and appliances are left in a safe and serviceable condition. To maintain test equipment as required.
  • Provide input in the implementation of Early Equipment Management Principles.

    Qualifications / Requirements

  • At least a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution;
  • Must be computer literate
  • 2 years’ relevant experience

    Job Specification

  • To undertake routine maintenance, servicing and updating of the electrical systems and appliances.
  • Trace, diagnose and rectify faults using appropriate testing and measuring equipment, ensuring systems and appliances are left in a safe and serviceable condition. To maintain test equipment as required.
  • Build and continuously improve PM calendars
    Execute PM and advanced AM tasks.
  • Track Engineering Operations KPIs, with improvement
    guiding next execution steps.
  • Complete assigned cross-functional development assignments.

  • Competency in the assembly of electromechanical equipment, including sensors, motors, controllers
    Communication – the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and regularly with team members, client representatives
  • Competency in the testing and troubleshooting of completed equipment
  • Integrity and Confidentiality.
  • Emotional & Professional Bandwidth to handle competing demands with a knack for superior tactical planning, prioritization and execution.
