Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company Limited Manager - Finance Jobs in Kenya;Provide leadership and guidance to the Finance function by implementing sound accounting, budgeting, and financial control systems and procedures in accordance with International Accounting Standards and policies approved by the Board of Directors.
Key Tasks
Ensure costs are maintained and effectively controlled at acceptable levels; advise managers on company standards
Maintain books of sales, purchases, expenditure, and receipts at all times
Formulate and maintain an up‑to‑date register of company assets and liabilities
Ensure timely availability of management control information for routine decisions; address causes of performance gaps
Maintain records of company insurance and taxation activities
Ensure timely completion of monthly trial balances and production of financial statements
Work jointly with the internal auditor to implement sufficient controls to prevent fraud and malpractices
Develop and ensure adherence to financial accounting principles in consultation with the General Manager, Finance Services
Interpret the corporate plan and spearhead preparation of the annual budget
Ensure company policies and guidelines are understood and adhered to
Ensure company assets are properly accounted for and secured
Supervise, discipline, appraise, and counsel departmental staff
Plan, direct, and coordinate internal financial operations
Assess the financial situation of the company
Prepare budgets and control expenditure
Ensure efficient use of resources
Establish and direct operational procedures
Plan and direct daily financial operations
Knowledge and Skills Required
The successful candidate should demonstrate:

Strong corporate planning and performance management skills
Budgeting and
financial forecasting expertise
Revenue enhancement and cost‑management capability
Strong knowledge of risk management and internal controls
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities
Integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills
Ability to use financial management and business intelligence systems effectively
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Requirements for Appointment
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Business‑related field
Master’s degree in Strategic Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, or related field
Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK) in good standing
Must be a CPA (K)
At least 12 years’ relevant experience, 5 of which must be at senior management level
Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
Computer literate and proficient in Computer Assisted Audit Tools and Techniques
Analytical mind with proven managerial and leadership skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
