EIDU (www.eidu.com) has set out to create the most effective self-learning app for preschool children, and to distribute it for social impact on a global scale. Our software enables children aged 3-5 to develop cognitive abilities on their own. Starting with the early stages of mathematical thinking, we aim to cover a comprehensive set of elementary skills.
EIDU’s primary goal is to achieve social impact. We see early childhood education as a key factor in reducing the global opportunity gap. The possibility to use mobile technology to improve educational conditions worldwide is in reach – at a fraction of the cost of other
alternatives.

EIDU is currently looking to expand its current program to more schools in Nairobi, most of them in slum areas. We are looking for a pro-active, entrepreneurial, and driven leader to help us identify, convince, onboard, and engage new schools and their head teachers to grow in Kenya with your team in Nairobi. This is going to be a challenging task with a very high learning curve.

You are going to be leading a growing team in Nairobi and work directly with our management team in Germany that consists of very experienced digital entrepreneurs and experts in the field of Education and social studies. Our

medium-term goal is the expansion into other African markets.

[Qualifications

  • Level: University degree in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology or in related
    field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Experience Level: 0-5 years of work experience, experience with field work in slums or poor communities required
  • Purpose: Team lead in EIDU’s Kenyan growth team
  • Location: Nairobi, Kenya

  • Autonomy and excellent self-management skills
  • Strong focus on problem solving and getting things done
  • Ability and willingness to lead others (leadership experience is a big plus)
  • Empathic and highly receptive to non-verbal communication (ability to “read” people)
  • Interest in and adaptivity to other cultures
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
