Egerton University, the oldest institution of higher learning in Kenya, invites applications from suitable qualified and experienced individuals with excellent credentials to fill the following posts.

FACULTY OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY STUDIES

DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, COUNSELLING AND EDUCATION FOUNDATIONS

GRADE 15 EU/AA/2013– 0735

The candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:-

Must have Ph.D degree or its equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized academic institution.

Must have at least four (4) years of University teaching and research since being appointed Associate Professor.

Must have at least fine (5) articles in refereed journal since last promotion OR

One (1) book by a renowned publisher and refereed exhibitions of performance or two (2) book chapters plus three (3) articles

OR

Performances of original creation plus two (2) articles.

Must have successfully supervised at least 2 Ph.D students or one (2) Ph.D student and two Masters students or four (4) masters students

Should have attended and contributed at learned conference, seminars or workshop

Show show evidence of academic and research leadership in area of specialization through teaching and jointed research publication

Show evidence of continued research, postgraduate supervision and effect teaching

Should show evidence

of being a member of relevant professional bodied and awareness of national and international issues

Should show evidence of leadership and awareness of national and internal issues.
