Job Summary
  • The CCTV (closed-circuit television) operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining surveillance equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Their job is to monitor live feeds and recorded footage to identify any suspicious or criminal activity and report it to the appropriate authorities.

    Responsibilities
  • Monitoring live and recorded video feeds from surveillance cameras and other security systems.
  • Identifying and reporting any suspicious or criminal activity to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintaining and repairing CCTV equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly.
  • Reviewing and analyzing recorded footage to assist in investigations.
  • Responding to alarms and other security alerts.
  • Collaborating with law enforcement and other security personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all security incidents and actions taken.
  • Conducting patrols, overseeing access control systems, and responding to emergency situations.

    Requirements
  • OND / HND / B.Sc Degree.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the same/similar role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Private or Commercial security experience / background is an advantage.
  • Ability to identify small, apparently unnoticeable details that most
    people would ordinarily overlook.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressured situations.
