  • We are looking for a competitive and trustworthy Media Sales Executive to help us build up our business activities. The Media Sales personnel will be responsible for selling advertising space for both our TV and online platforms.He/she will alsopromote and sell media products and services offered by the employer as well as approaching potential customers to make sales and maintains excellent relationships with all clients.

    Responsibilities

  • Studies and understands all facets of the media products and services being offered

  • Contact potential clients to describe advertising opportunities. This usually takes the form of cold calling over the telephone but may involve face-to-face contact at presentations, meetings and business lunches or dinners
    Hones and delivers a skilled sales pitch to potential clients, either by phone or in person, in an effort to secure a sale

  • Explains the benefits and potential audience of specific media offerings to potential clients

  • Details pricing and negotiates costs when necessary

  • Facilitates successful sales by collecting client information and providing order information to the company

  • Research client needs and explain the benefits of buying advertising space, responding to any objections

  • Tracks every media purchase, keep records of sales, contacts and deals made to ensure that it is completed accurately
    and on time

  • Works to maximise sales and meet quotas in the short and long term

  • Maintains excellent relationships with all clients in the executive’s portfolio

  • Meets clients outside of normal business hours when necessary

  • Account manage existing clients to ensure their needs are satisfied and they are happy with the service

  • Work with production teams to ensure that agreed advertisements are carried in the right place and at the right

  • Deliver sales reports and projections to management on a weekly basis.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a Related Field

  • Strong Media Planner / Buyer contacts at key Kenya agencies

  • A knowledgeable understanding of how a media agency works and operates

  • Must have about 6-10 years of Sales (Media Experience)

  • Naturally Social and outgoing with a strong passion for media

  • Strong negotiator and ability to take objections

  • Confident with excellent communication techniques

  • Ambition and determination to succeed

  • Dedication and commitment to achieve results

  • Proactive approach to work

  • Team player

  • Persuasive and articulate
