Main Duties

  • Oversee preparation of the group consolidated management accounts every month.

  • Review and validate general ledger entries on the ERP for accuracy and completeness.

  • Supervise and manage the Account Receivables, Accounts payable, and General ledger Accounts entries on a timely basis.

  • Supervised Inventory activities- Inventory Receipts, Issues, Stock count, Costing of Stock items, and posting of activities into the General ledger accounts.

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of the company's financial performance using relevant KPIs.

  • Manage month-end closing of the Account
    Receivables, Accounts payable, and all general ledger accounts.

  • Monitor daily/weekly financial activities and monthly Accounts Reconciliation (Bank Accounts and other GL Accounts)

  • Supervise entries and remittances of the various Tax obligations—WHT, VAT, PAYE, Staff Pensions, and others.

  • Actively participate in the Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual preparation of Financial/Management Accounts and other Financial Performance Reports.

  • Actively participate in the annual Statutory Financial Audit and other Regulatory Audits.

  • Supervise the Accounts Reconciliation of Paystack and other payment gateway institutions.

  • Relationship management with Tax and other regulatory agencies

  • Monitor updates in financial laws and regulations and advise management on compliance.

  • Actively participate in the financial and overall business improvement processes and procedures.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and train the Junior Accounts Personnel.

  • Review and validate all invoices and accounting schedules (e.g., fixed asset register, payment schedules, receivables aging analysis)

  • Any other tasks as may be assigned to you by the Management from time to time.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related disciplines
    Chartered Accounting qualification (ICAN or ACCA) is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position.

  • Experience using accounting software such as Quick book, SAGE, ERP, etc.

  • Experience with a fast food chain will be an added advantage

  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
    Attention to detail & thoroughness.

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance,
    Excellent organizational & leadership skills.

  • Outstanding communication & interpersonal abilities

  • Must reside in Abuja.
