Job Requirements:

Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years working experience as a Housekeeper or similar role;

Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Housekeeping, Laundry and Front Office Management, Hospitality Management with housekeeping specialization or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.

Be a person of excellent organizational and team management skills

Demonstrate hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations

Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products

Have the Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job and flexibility to work in shifts

Be computer literate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Training housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks

Overseeing staff on a daily basis

Checking rooms and common areas, including lecture halls, offices, hostels, ablution blocks, library and any other areas, for cleanliness

Scheduling shifts and arranging for replacements in cases of absence

Establishing and educating staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards

Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job

Respond to customer complaints and special requests

Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock; and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
