Dynamic People Consulting Limited Finance Controller / Chief Finance Officer Jobs in Kenya; The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) serves as the CEO’s key strategic partner in shaping and executing the company’s growth agenda.

Beyond financial stewardship, the role provides executive leadership across governance, transformation, ERP implementation, risk management, and data‑driven decision‑making.

The CFO will build trusted relationships with family ownership while strengthening governance, controls, and professional management practices to support sustainable expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Executive Leadership

Serve as a core member of the executive leadership team.

Provide strategic financial input for planning, investments, and organizational priorities.

Drive business performance through analysis, forecasting, and guidance.

Support governance in a founder‑led, family‑owned business.

Financial Management & Controls

Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Maintain strong internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting to CEO, Board, and stakeholders.

Lead statutory audit processes and establish internal audit functions.

Tax & Statutory Compliance

Own tax strategy and compliance (corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax).

Ensure compliance with statutory levies (NSSF, SHIF, Affordable Housing Levy).

Oversee transfer pricing policy for regional expansion.

Treasury & Banking

Oversee treasury management, cash flow, and capital structure.

Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and loan covenant compliance.

Structure working capital and trade finance solutions.

Implement FX risk management strategies.

Governance & Company Secretarial

Ensure compliance with Companies Act filings and governance requirements.

Support governance framework for transition to professional management.

Capital & Fundraising

Support evaluation and securing of growth capital (debt/equity).

Prepare business for investor/lender due diligence.

Risk & Insurance

Own enterprise risk management framework.

Manage insurance portfolio across property, trade credit, and liability.

ERP & Systems Implementation

Lead SAP Business One implementation and optimization.

Drive automation and systems integration for efficiency.

Ensure real‑time

data accessibility for leadership.

Operational Finance & Manufacturing Support

Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams.

Drive cost efficiency, product costing, inventory management, and margin analysis.

Provide data‑backed decision support across departments.

People & Team Leadership

Build and mentor a high‑performing finance team.

Promote accountability, learning, and excellence.

Success Metrics

First 6 months: SAP roadmap underway; financial controls and Board reporting cadence established.

First 12 months: Clean statutory audit; tax compliance current; treasury optimized; finance team strengthened.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

CPA(K), ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent international accounting qualification.

10–15 years in progressive finance roles, with 3+ years in senior leadership.

Manufacturing industry experience essential; FMCG/food manufacturing preferred.

Hands‑on SAP Business One implementation experience.

Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills.
