Dynamic People Consulting Finance Controller / Chief Finance Officer Jobs in Kenya; Serve as the CEO’s key strategic partner in shaping and executing the company’s growth agenda. Provide executive leadership across finance, governance, business transformation, ERP implementation, risk management, and data‑driven decision‑making. Build trusted relationships with family ownership while strengthening governance, financial controls, and professional management practices to support sustainable regional expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Executive Leadership

  • Serve as a core member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the CEO and Board.

  • Provide strategic financial input for planning, investment, and organisational priorities.

  • Drive business performance through analysis, forecasting, and guidance.

  • Support governance matters in a founder‑led, family‑owned business.

    Financial Management & Controls

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Maintain strong internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting.

  • Lead statutory audits and establish internal audit functions.

    Tax & Statutory Compliance

  • Own tax strategy and compliance (corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax).

  • Ensure compliance with statutory levies (NSSF, SHIF, Affordable Housing Levy).

  • Oversee transfer pricing as the business expands regionally.

    Treasury & Banking

  • Manage treasury, cash flow, and capital structure.

  • Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and loan covenant compliance.

  • Structure working capital and trade finance solutions.

  • Implement FX risk management strategies.

    Governance & Company Secretarial

  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act filings and governance requirements.

  • Support transition from founder‑managed to professionally managed operations.

    Capital & Fundraising

  • Support evaluation and securing of growth capital (debt/equity).

  • Prepare for investor/lender due diligence.

    Risk & Insurance

  • Own enterprise risk management framework.

  • Manage insurance portfolio across property, business interruption, trade credit, and liability.

    ERP & Systems
    Implementation

  • Lead SAP Business One implementation and optimisation.

  • Drive automation and systems integration.

  • Ensure real‑time data accessibility for leadership.

    Operational Finance & Manufacturing Support

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams.

  • Apply manufacturing finance lens to costing, inventory, and margin analysis.

  • Provide decision support with data‑backed insights.

    People & Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing finance team.

  • Promote accountability, learning, and excellence.

    Success Metrics

  • First 6 Months: SAP roadmap underway; financial controls and reporting cadence established.

  • First 12 Months: Clean statutory audit; tax compliance current; treasury optimised; finance team strengthened.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA(K), ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent qualification.

  • 10–15 years’ progressive finance experience, with 3+ years in senior leadership.

  • Manufacturing industry experience essential; FMCG/food manufacturing preferred.

  • Hands‑on SAP Business One implementation experience.

  • Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills.
