  • DT Global seeks a Chief of Party for the anticipated USAID Gender Aware Sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (GASWASH) activity seeks to expand gender-sensitive sustainable access to basic safe drinking water, basic sanitation coverage, and increase uptake of key hygiene behaviors to improve health and household resilience.

    Responsibilities

  • The COP will be responsible for the technical and administrative management of the activity and all of its sub-activities and crosscutting tasks.

  • The COP will help develop and track implementation of the Work Plan, ensuring that all components are working in tandem and assuring that program deliverables are of quality.

  • The COP will serve as the primary liaison with USAID, the host-country government, and project stakeholders and will provide recommendations to enhance the program as required.

    Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in water resource management, water governance, public health, engineering, economics, or a related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively leadership experience implementing water sector governance, capacity building, and WASH programs

  • Prior Chief of Party experience on USAID-funded programs is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience
    collaborating with civil society organizations and attracting investment from the private sector to improve the enabling environment for WASH

  • Demonstrated understanding of program design and monitoring and evaluation for WASH and water governance programs

  • Previous experience administering grants or similar mechanisms to amplify development impact is strongly desired

  • Past work experience in East and/or Sub-Saharan Africa is strong preferred

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and exceptional oral and written communication skills
