d.light Territory Business Executive - Southrift Jobs in Kenya




Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create awareness in the designated geography and aid in direct selling for retail outlets.

  • Recruit and manage quality Solar Energy Promoters (SEPs) as per given targets.

  • Prospect new customers and constantly expand the business.

  • Manage regional outlet sales agents and ensure sales targets are achieved by pushing stock out to assigned outlets.

  • Monitor sales data and keep up to date with current market trends and customer needs, including queries and complaints.

  • Ensure availability of stock in all outlets.

  • Focus on activating new channels – Experience Centers, Phone shops, and Retail Distributors.

  • Build and maintain relationships between d.light and clients.

  • Identify and monitor all competitive activities within the territory.

  • Implement the d.light Route to Market.

  • Ensure quality customers are onboarded and delinquency is maintained below the specified percentage.

  • Review and assess new customers onboarded within jurisdiction for payment quality to ensure portfolio health.

  • Evaluate and study high‑risk accounts, analyze payment patterns, and drive compliance by taking remedial actions.

  • Ensure stock/inventory management is done within acceptable procedures at every stock location.

  • Supervise stocking and safety of d.light stock with SEPs to maintain approved minimum stock levels.

  • Follow up on outstanding payments from customers and ensure timely settlement.

  • Ensure assigned tools of trade are well maintained and used per company policies.

  • Perform any
    other duties assigned from time to time.

    Key Performance Indicators

  • Sales target achievement.

  • Collection target achievement.

  • Recruitment and management of SEPs & ECs.

  • Stock availability and inventory management.

    Requirements

  • At least 1–3 years of sales experience with a demonstrable track record.

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Sales & Marketing or any business‑related field.

  • Industry background in renewable energy or solar is an added advantage.

  • Experience working in a rapid sales growth environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Valid Kenya motorbike riding license.

  • Strong mindset for continuous improvement, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Passion for social enterprise, people development, and environmental benefits.
