d.light Area Business Manager Jobs in Uganda;Responsible for managing all d.light sales activities within a defined geographical territory to achieve revenue, sales and collections targets for PAYGO and portable products.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure visibility and availability of d.light products in assigned territory.

  • Provide reports, feedback on market intelligence and competition.

  • Execute timely sales activities including market activations and launches.

  • Achieve defined targets (sales in/out, merchandising, outlet growth, satisfaction, stockholding, journey planning).

  • Ensure recruited outlets meet defined criteria.

  • Manage and coordinate Territory Sales Executives (TSEs).

  • Plan journeys for self and TSEs for efficiency.

  • Maintain business relationships with outlets to ensure stock availability.

  • Ensure adequate POS materials and enforce merchandising.

  • Review and assess new customers for payment quality.

  • Evaluate high‑risk accounts and analyze payment patterns; implement remedial actions.

  • Train outlet owners/managers on products, selling tools, POS materials and warranty handling.

  • Provide feedback on execution plan to Regional Sales Manager.

  • Coordinate regional outlet activities including orders and stock movement.

  • Analyze competitor activities and assess business opportunities.

  • Ensure quality customers are onboarded and delinquency maintained below 20%.

  • Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely settlement.

  • Ensure stock/inventory movement complies with procedures.

  • Maintain assigned
    tools of trade per company policies.

  • Perform any other duties assigned.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

  • Industry background in related sector an advantage.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in rapid sales growth environment.

  • Proven track record of exceeding targets and building partnerships.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Strong problem‑solving capability to create win‑win outcomes.

  • Willingness to spend 5 days a week in the field.

  • Valid Ugandan driving license.

  • Strong mindset for continuous improvement, discretion and confidentiality.

  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Passion for social enterprise, people development and environmental benefits.
