Job DescriptionThe Local Choice requires the services of a reputable Health Consultant specialising in Vitamins and Supplements for their Head Office (Delmas).
You will be responsible for effectively promoting and selling The Local Choice products through consistent customer service and support the customer service at point of sale whilst ensuring a world class shopping experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
Grade 12 / Matric
0 - 1 years sales experience in any environment
Strong command of the English language
Computer literate – MS Office
Sound numerical skills
Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
Diploma/Degree within the Health Focus category
1 – 2 years’ experience sales in a retail environment
Experience in the health industry (vitamins, supplements or health foods)
Fluent in a 2nd language prominently spoken in the area
Job description:
Report low stock levels to management according to standard operating procedures.
Report expired stock to Frontshop Lead and ensure that returns are made.
Ensure damaged stock is removed from the store floor.
Ensure stock rotation on FIFO (First in, first out) basis.
Be responsible for the health departments designated stock in storeroom.
Ensure stock levels on shelves meet the customer demands.
Follow the health front shop administrative processes and procedures, including but not limited to weekly returns, stock control and monitoring of stock levels.
Ensure Head Office implementations are done in time and accurately.
Keep updated with new products and product lines and inform management thereof.
Gather and maintain in-depth and up-to-date product knowledge of the brands and products Dis-Chem sell.
Maximise the relevant category turnover and profit within the health division.
Achieve department, brand, product and vendor sales and profit targets.
Ensure monthly promotions are implemented effectively to maximise sales.
Consistently monitor sales vs. target and act accordingly.
Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
Transact all purchases – receive, verify and processes all payments such as cash, cards, vouchers, coupons and any other acceptable
payments.
Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returned goods by customers when authorised to do so by the Front shop Leader.
Process all loyalty cards including those of accelerated partners.
Ensure cash is placed in the drop safe according to standard operating procedures.
Ensure all line voids and price changes are approved and signed by a Frontshop Leader and/ or Retail
Store Assistant.
Ensure accurate cash flow at all times.
Provide and maintain an efficient and quality customer service standard through customer consultation within the health department.
Resolve customer inquiries in an efficient way as they appear and report enquiries back to management.
Ensure that outgoing stock/ items/ scripts are scanned and paid for.
Keep daily takings (cash, cheques, vouchers, card slips, line voids and incomplete dockets) inside the till drawer until they are placed in the drop safe.
Report bad and suspicious behaviour for both staff and customers to management.
