As a QA Tester, you'll be responsible for testing our code and apps to ensure that they are free of bugs. You'll work with the engineering team to understand the functionality of each new feature before it's released. Your job will involve writing automated tests in order to test features as they are developed and then refining them until they're perfect.

You may also have a number of smaller projects within your remit where you're expected to provide detailed feedback on requirements, bugs or other aspects related to testing.

Requirements

Develop test scripts that are as small and simple as possible while they still cover the functionality of the application under test.

Use automation to increase speed, accuracy and efficiency of manual testing procedures.

Design and create a test environment including (virtual or physical) testing server, applications, browsers and software tools.

Fix any bugs encountered.

QA is responsible for testing the QA process, writing verification plans and specifications, and testing the finished product

Explains

the functionality of testing techniques and equipment used in order to assist with implementing effective systems.

Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years experience in testing and troubleshooting software applications, preferably web based applications.

Experience with automation tools and tools used to test the integration between different systems such as HttpUnit, Selenium WebDriver, Visual Studio Test Explorer or equivalent tools.

Experience with automating repetitive tests that take multiple steps to complete is a plus.

Minimum of three years of experience as a software tester with a strong background in unit testing and regression.

Knowledge and understanding of Agile software development methodologies a plus.
