DIB Bank Kenya Manager, Market & Liquidity Risk Jobs



DIB Bank Kenya Manager, Market & Liquidity Risk Jobs;To support coordination and implementation of the country’s market and liquidity risk in line with regulations and Group guidelines. The role will also support identification and evaluation of market and liquidity risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Market and Liquidity Risk function, including planning and implementation of liquidity, market, and profit rate risk policies.

  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Risk Management Framework across business units.

  • Prepare reports for relevant committees.

  • Assist in liquidity and market risk quantification under ICAAP.

  • Oversee daily capturing, monitoring, controlling, and reporting of market and liquidity risks.

  • Ensure detailed understanding of P&L and risk drivers, maintaining compliance with risk appetite.

  • Suggest, develop, and implement measures to improve risk management and internal controls.

  • Ensure adequate limits (VaR, sensitivities, stress testing) and frameworks are in place.

  • Collaborate with Front Office and Back Office Operations to highlight and address risk issues.

  • Recommend market risk limits in line with approved appetite.

  • Understand trading environments, strategies, products, and liquidity; challenge hedging strategies.

  • Investigate and explain changes in Trading Book Regulatory Capital.

  • Monitor Counterparty Credit Risk in the Trading Book and develop metrics (e.g., Expected Positive Exposure, Potential Future Exposure).

  • Develop comprehensive stress test scenarios for market and liquidity risks.

  • Implement
    the Liquidity Risk Management Framework in liaison with Treasury.

    Job Specification

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Actuarial Science.

  • Postgraduate qualifications such as CFA or MBA an added advantage.

  • CPA (K), FRM, or relevant certification in Risk Management desirable.

    Training & Skills

  • Accounting and financial capability.

  • Banking operations, treasury front/back office, products, and processes knowledge.

  • Proficiency in Excel and relevant product knowledge.

    Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial institutions.

  • At least 3–5 years in a similar role required.
