DIB Bank Kenya Limited Assistant Manager - Trade Finance Jobs; Support Relationship and Branch Managers in tailoring Trade Finance solutions to increase income and grow the Trade Finance portfolio for individual and SME clients. Process export documents (Documentary Collections and Letters of Credit) for onward dispatch to various destinations. Promote a superior customer service culture and standards while adhering to the Bank’s policies and guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities

Support Relationship Managers and Branch Managers in customizing Trade products and growing income/portfolio for individuals and SMEs

Maintain existing client base and proactively support acquisition of new business

Liaise with Trade Operations to process export documents (Documentary Collections and Letters of Credit) for shipment

Ensure adherence to statutory and bank legal requirements in Trade Finance operations

Conduct market intelligence on trade products and pricing models to maintain competitiveness

Identify business opportunities and threats to position Structured Trade & Commodity Financing (STCF) for competitive advantage

Understand client businesses and anticipate requirements through consultative cross-selling

Match client needs with product capabilities via tailored proposals to maximize revenue and profitability

Participate in solution implementation and follow-up to minimize client inconvenience

Provide advisory and guidance services to Relationship and

Branch Managers on Trade Finance products and transactions

Ensure agreed SLAs within the department are adhered to

Attend training and learning programs to close skill gaps and ensure product awareness

Provide exceptional service to existing and potential clients in the Bank’s chosen markets

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (minimum); Master’s degree will be an advantage

Banking knowledge, computer skills, functional policies and procedures knowledge

Relevant product knowledge, foundations & principles of Islamic finance

Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in Trade Finance function

Experience in sales function, preferably in a reputed bank/financial institution
