Diamond Trust Bank Assistant Manager – Internal Audit Department Jobs in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and oversee execution of audit assignments across the Bank’s diverse operations.

Take a lead role in both routine and special audits conducted within the Bank.

Ensure BAC files are accurately completed and submitted within required timelines.

Prepare comprehensive and timely audit reports outlining findings and recommending enhancements to procedures and internal controls.

Review bank procedures and new products across operational areas, recommend appropriate actions, and prepare value‑adding assessment reports.

Provide support in audit assignments for the Bank’s subsidiaries when required.

Drive continuous improvement of operating systems and procedures by reviewing, evaluating, and advising on internal controls to support efficient and prudent financial management.

Support the department in on‑the‑job training, mentoring, and performance appraisal of audit team members.

Personal Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage confidently across all levels of the Bank.

Self‑driven, goal‑oriented, and able to work independently with strong initiative and sound judgment.

High levels of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct consistent with Internal Audit standards.

Skills & Qualifications

University degree in Commerce (Accounting), Business Administration, or related discipline.

Professional accounting or auditing qualifications such as CPA or ACCA.

Membership in a recognized professional body such as ICPAK, IIA, or ISACA preferred.

Certification from the Institute of Internal Auditors (CIA) will be an added advantage.

MBA is also an added advantage.
