Dexis Consulting Group Trade And Private Sector Expert Consultant Jobs in Ghana

Dexis is seeking an experienced Trade and Private Sector Expert Consultant to provide monitoring and evaluation and learning (MEL) technical services for an upcoming short-term evaluation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) West Africa Regional Mission.

This is a short-term position expected to start in mid-February 2024 and concluding at the end of April 2024. This consultancy will require travel to Ghana and Benin and an estimated level of effort of 45 days.

Responsibilities

Engages the private sector through formal and information methods such as at conferences, investment forums, and through personal connections at global and local levels which help build and strengthen relationships with USAID in a shared value and sustainable manner.

Advises project teams to more effectively engage private sector.

Contributes private sector thinking to evaluation activities.

Serve as technical expert for evaluation teams for the private industry and trade.

Conduct background research, literature reviews, and draft inputs on trade and trade-related issues (such as inclusive and sustainable development linkages to trade).

Qualifications

At least 10 years of work experience in private sector engagement

or experience in developing and managing partnerships, including brokering public-private partnerships.

Proven experience in capacity building in leadership, planning and management.

Strong quantitative skills, including financial in order to measure increased investments due to public-private partnerships.

At least 7 years experience in program evaluation of donor funded development programs; priority will be given to those who have evaluated programs of similar nature.

Experience with USAID evaluation projects in West Africa and have demonstrated abilities in applied trade and private sector analysis.

Proficiency in both English and French is required for this position.
