    Job Description

  • Develop and maintain tools and methodologies for risk analysis.
  • Prepare risk management reports including recommendations on proactive management decisions to prevent risk events for the Firm's Leadership.
  • Develop and enhance risk models and tolerances for use by the Firm to monitor and control risks.
  • Monitor and support risk mitigation strategies of the Business Units.
  • Must possess experience providing coaching and feedback to staff or team members.
  • Assist in the implementation of risk processes and projects as required in terms of Member Firm Standards including Enterprise Risk Framework, Portfolio Risk Review, Risk Monitoring, etc
  • Assist in risk sensing and implementation and focus on emerging risks.
  • Ad-Hoc Special Risk Projects - Assist in developing and implementation of special risk projects as and when required by Global Risk or the Africa MF
  • Responsible for the implementation and execution of risk management framework for the Firm.
  • Coordinate risk management activities across the Firm based on a holistic and Firm-wide view of risk.
  • Analyze
    and report to the Firm's Leadership risk events and exposures.
  • Embed risk management policies and parameters in the Firm's processes.
  • Harmonize, synchronize and rationalize risk process across the Firm.
  • Ensures the collection of operational risk data, including internal risk events and key risk indicators.
  • Maintain and develop new stress test scenarios to evaluate the operational risks.
  • Facilitates the risk and control self-assessment process to determine residual risk exposures.
  • Coordinate risk management training and facilitation for the Firm.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and other attributes related to risk management program effectiveness.

    Qualifications

  • LLB Degree
  • Honours Degree

    Desired Qualification:

  • Postgraduate qualification (Business Management, etc.)

    Experience:

  • At least 4 years’ experience within a Law firm specifically with experience in Contract Management
  • Internally- 2 years’ experience at a Senior Consultant Level within the function
