Job Description

Delivery Associates (DA) is the leading public sector advisory group focused on implementation of large-scale reform and establishment of delivery units.

Our methodology has been successfully applied in 6 continents globally across education, health, economic development, infrastructure and other areas of government.

Delivery Leaders at DA require an ability to partner with public sector leaders to set measurable goals, develop implementation plans, execute routines for data collection and progress monitoring, and lead targeted problem-solving.

The Delivery Leader role includes the following responsibilities:

Day-to-day management of a project priority or area and the respective client team

Building effective stakeholder relationships across government

Problem solving and analysis

Ensuring timely, consistent, high quality delivery of outputs

Influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to drive progress

Building client capacity through coaching and training

Job Requirements

Successful candidates must demonstrate an interest in delivering meaningful,
measurable results. They will also have a thirst for learning about delivery and the
candidates bring previous client-facing experience in public sector contexts
and/or direct experience delivering results in public service roles.

Successful candidates will be able to:

Build solid relationships experience building trust-based relationships and
partnerships to deliver shared goals,

Actively problem-solve track record of analysing complex problems,
identifying key issues, and simplifying the

approach to solving them,

Work well in a team track record of team working, especially when teams
are drawn from across organisations with different cultures,

Use data and other evidence to make arguments and solve problems an
analytical thinker, able to translate technical information to a lay audience,

Write high quality presentations and reports demonstrate writing concise
prose, clear narrative and well-structured documents,

Think logically to sequence and plan delivery of government strategy,

Facilitate and communicate effectively lead interactive workshops with
stakeholders,

Prioritize effectively identify where impact will be greatest and take action

Specific Project Requirements

We are recruiting candidates who are interested in supporting the Tax Sector
Transformation Programme of Ethiopia. DA is the implementation partner for
this work.


Successful candidates will meet the below requirements:

Be based in Ethiopia

Written and spoken fluency in English and Amharic

Expertise in working with governments and/or the tax or customs sectors is a
strong advantage
