DeARX Services (Pty) Ltd Senior Systems Analyst – Payments & DebiCheck Jobs in South Africa;We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to analyse, design and document complex systems and payment solutions, with emphasis on Payments, DebiCheck and related banking transaction processes.

The role bridges business requirements and technical delivery, working closely with stakeholders, developers, architects, testers and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and translate business requirements into functional and technical system requirements.

  • Perform systems analysis across complex banking and payment environments.

  • Analyse existing systems, interfaces, processes and data flows for improvement.

  • Produce Functional Specifications, System Requirements and Technical documentation.

  • Document payment flows, transaction processing and integration points.

  • Work extensively with DebiCheck mandates, collections and transactions.

  • Analyse payment messages, interfaces and integrations with external platforms.

  • Work with APIs, services, databases and messaging technologies.

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Leads.

  • Engage with Business Analysts and Product Owners.

  • Conduct impact assessments for system changes.

  • Investigate production issues and perform root‑cause analysis.

  • Support developers and testers with detailed requirements.

  • Define and document system interfaces, data mappings and business rules.

  • Participate in solution design, walkthroughs, sprint planning and refinement.

  • Support system integration testing, UAT and defect resolution.

  • Ensure solutions meet banking, security, compliance and operational requirements.

  • Produce process flows, sequence diagrams and data‑flow diagrams.

    Essential Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years as Systems Analyst in banking/financial services.

  • Strong Payments experience.

  • Hands‑on DebiCheck
    experience.

  • Understanding of DebiCheck mandates, collections and processing.

  • Experience with South African payment systems and ecosystem.

  • Knowledge of payment transaction lifecycles and workflows.

  • Experience analysing integrations and APIs.

  • Strong REST/SOAP API and web services knowledge.

  • SQL and database experience.

  • Ability to analyse data and troubleshoot transaction issues.

  • Experience with payment messages and data mappings.

  • Strong SDLC and Agile knowledge.

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar tools.

  • Strong documentation and specification skills.

  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management.

    Advantageous Experience

  • ISO 20022.

  • ISO 8583.

  • PayShap / real‑time payments.

  • EFT / debit orders.

  • ACB / BankservAfrica.

  • SAMOS.

  • SWIFT.

  • API gateways and enterprise integration platforms.

  • Kafka or messaging platforms.

  • Microservices architecture.

  • Postman / SoapUI.

  • Azure DevOps.

  • Banking transaction reconciliation and settlement.
