Job Description The Ticketing Operations Manager (TOM) is responsible to the Head of Ticketing and CRM for the effective delivery of a full-service box office operation for the Edinburgh International Festival and other clients.
The role requires excellent, sales, systems and account management skills as well as a thorough understanding of marketing practises.
Hub Tickets delivers high levels of customer service and tickets sales.
The TOM will need to display commercial business sense, have sound technical ability and be comfortable working in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Ticket sales
Manage ticketing operations to ensure an efficient high-quality service is delivered in line with Hub Tickets
policies and procedures across all sales channels- in person, online and telephone
Accurately manage inventory sold via Hub Tickets across all channels
Ensure supervisors receive relevant information required to carry out duties including changes to
programming, seat detail or inventory management in an efficient and timely manner.
Ensure that all customer data is managed in line with relevant data protection legislation, and that relevant
privacy policies are always adhered to
Understand responsibilities relating to PCI Compliance
Ticketing System
Support the Head of Ticketing and CRM in managing Hub Tickets’ ticketing system (Audience View) across all platforms (in person, telephone, post, online)
Assist the Head of Ticketing in managing holds, allocations, discounts, and all aspects of the ticketing inventory
Provide an effective, accurate and timely reporting service for external clients and Edinburgh International
Festival management team
Manage daily administration of web sales and enquiries
Support the Head of Ticketing and CRM by managing the on-line ticketing system and support the
development of the web site to generate increased on-line ticket sales.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent.
0 - 1 year experience.
Essential:
Ability to demonstrate relevant ticketing and box office experience at events including the use of
computerised ticketing systems
Previous experience of managing ticketing inventory across multiple venues and price bands
Previous experience in managing box office operations
Previous experience in managing teams of people
Experience of ticketing systems
Excellent IT skills- particularly Excel and Microsoft Word
Experience of creating efficient systems and processes
Excellent Customer Service skills
Desirable
Further education, certificate or equivalent qualification
Training in the use of Audience View and Artifax.
Experience of handling customer service and complaints
Experience of providing technical and systems support.
Experience of managing relationships with ticket agents and venues.
