Danish Refugee Council Cash Coordinator – NEWCAP Consortium Jobs in Nigeria;The Consortium Cash Coordinator provides technical oversight, leadership, and coordination to the Nigeria Cash and RRM Consortium (CMU), focusing on Multi‑Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA). The role ensures good CVA practices, supports food security, promotes financial inclusion, and strengthens linkages with social protection systems.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Oversight
Lead the Consortium Cash Technical Working Group.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to partners.
Coordinate with other sectors for referrals and complementary services.
Develop, harmonize, and roll out SOPs, tools, and guidelines.
Oversee compliance with standards and quality procedures.
Coordinate with DRC RO/HQ and external stakeholders.
Conduct regular field visits for oversight and capacity building.
Promote learning, innovation, and evidence generation.
Programme Development
Lead design of project proposals and budgets.
Conduct market system assessments to inform planning.
Perform risk assessments and analysis.
Support identification and evaluation of Financial Service Providers.
Map donor priorities and contribute to donor communications.
Lead programmatic reviews and incorporate learning.
Provide technical advice on budgets and realignments.
Quality Assurance
Oversee programme implementation progress and quality.
Work with MEAL/IM to develop harmonized tools and databases.
Ensure monitoring and feedback inform programme adjustments.
Capture best practices and lessons learned.
Provide technical supervision and mentoring to staff.
Coordination & Donor Engagement
Coordinate with Cash Working Group for harmonisation.
Represent Consortium in MPCA/CVA and food security fora.
Act as technical point with donors and support donor visits.
Engage with NGOs, UN agencies, and civil society partners.
Support technical governance and transparent decision‑making.
Other Duties
Ensure adherence to DRC’s
Age, Gender, and Diversity policy.
Ensure compliance with SEA, HR, admin, finance, and supply policies.
Identify and mitigate fraud, diversion, and operational risks.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in development, humanitarian affairs, social sciences, or related field.
Bachelor’s degree acceptable with 5+ additional years of humanitarian experience.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in CVA, MPCA, livelihoods, food security.
Minimum 5 years managing or designing CVA programming.
Strong communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
Experience with humanitarian coordination and representation.
Previous Nigeria experience and FSP coordination an advantage.
