Danish Embassy Driver Jobs in Kenya

The Danish Embassy is part of the Danish Foreign Service.

The Embassy covers Kenya as well as Eritrea, Seychelles and Somalia.

The Embassy is an ambitious, fast-paced and dynamic workplace with approximately 50 employees, 15 of whom are posted from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Embassy has a flat management structure.

The Embassy is seeking to recruit a dynamic, positive and service-minded Driver.

The successful candidate will be working in the Secretariat, Protocol and Logistics team.

The successful candidate is expected to show all the necessary flexibility for the optimal handling of the entire portfolio of the Embassy and thus be ready to handle tasks outside their daily portfolio

Responsibilities:

Drive Embassy staff.

Ensure that relevant vehicles are serviced regularly and are in good condition.

Keep vehicle log books, take care of vehicle cleaning and fuelling.

Pick official guests from the airport.

Provide other logistics and delivery services for the Embassy.

Assist in the reception.

Assist with documentation and other practical services at the Embassy.

Requirements:

Relevant education certificate.
Valid driving licence – category B,C,E.

10 years professional driving experience – experience with driving armoured cars will be considered an advantage.

Good command of English language.

IT proficiency.

Responsible, flexible and loyal.

Ability to work independently.

Great interpersonal, inter-cultural

skills and team player abilities.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Willingness to take on a variety of tasks reflecting changing priorities of the Embassy.

Experience working in a diplomatic or international organization is not a requirement, but will be considered an added advantage.
