Dangote Group Store Manager - Control (Inventory Control) Jobs in Nigeria; Dangote Industries Limited is seeking to recruit a Store Manager – Control (Inventory Control) to oversee inventory planning, reconciliation, and optimization at the Obajana Plant. The successful candidate will ensure material availability, reduce carrying costs, and enforce robust inventory management policies across the stores network.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records in ERP/WMS systems.

  • Ensure timely posting of receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.

  • Design and implement cycle count programmes and full stocktakes.

  • Coordinate with auditors during inventory audits.

  • Investigate and resolve variances between physical and system balances.

  • Classify inventory (ABC/criticality) and recommend optimal safety stocks and reorder points.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce write‑offs and obsolete stock.

  • Prepare and present monthly inventory reports, ageing analysis, and shrinkage reports.

  • Manage stores ledger reconciliations and collaborate with Finance for closings.

  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and documentation standards.

  • Train stores staff on inventory discipline and cycle count procedures.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Inventory accuracy (% by value and count).

  • Days of inventory on hand / turnover ratio.

  • Reduction in obsolete or slow‑moving stock.

  • Frequency and magnitude of inventory adjustments/write‑offs.

    Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory management or stores control.

  • Experience in high‑value industrial inventory preferred.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; ERP reporting experience (SAP/Oracle) desirable.

    Skills and Competencies
  • Analytical
    mindset and strong numerical skills.

  • Attention to detail and investigative orientation.

  • Knowledge of costing and basic accounting treatment of inventory.

  • Process‑driven with ability to implement controls and SOPs.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
