Dangote Group Shift Instrument Supervisor (6000TCD Mill Operation) Jobs in Nigeria Dangote Industries Limited is seeking to recruit a Boiler Attendant – Field Operator to support operations at SSC P‑Numan. The successful candidate will perform on‑site operational tasks associated with the safe and efficient functioning of boiler systems and auxiliaries, ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous plant performance.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct hourly rounds to monitor boiler equipment including feedwater pumps and air preheaters.

  • Check pressure, temperature, and flow values on local gauges and instruments.

  • Report deviations, leaks, abnormal noise, or vibration to the Supervisor.

  • Assist in boiler startup, shutdown, blowdown, and soot blowing procedures.

  • Adjust valves, dampers, and fans as instructed by the DCS or Supervisor.

  • Ensure proper functioning of fuel feed and ash removal systems.

  • Provide operational feedback and instructions to the operations team.

  • Maintain housekeeping standards around boiler equipment.

  • Record readings and observations in field logbooks.

  • Support emergency shutdowns and firefighting activities when required.

    Educational Qualification and Work Experience
  • Diploma or HND in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Professional certification is an added advantage (First or Second‑Class Boiler Attendant Certificate preferred).

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in field operations of boiler systems in cogeneration or thermal power plants.
