Cytonn Technical College Clerk of Works Jobs

Job Description

The Clerk of Works will work under the supervision of the Project Management Managers to ensure that the interests of Cytonn Real Estate are represented. This is in regards to ensuring that the quality of both materials and workmanship are in accordance with the design information such as specification and engineering drawings, in addition to recognised quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, monitor and inspect work of construction contractor for assigned projects on behalf of the Cytonn Real Estate
  • Review contractor shop drawings and provide comments on conformance/non-conformance to architect
  • Act as liaison between architect and contractor
  • Conduct on-site observation and spot-checks of work in progress
  • Ensure contract compliance by the contractor, such as conducting tests specified in contract and installing materials/equipment as specified in contract, and report deficiencies to Project Manager, Architect and contractor
  • Provide reports on all on-site matters, including third-party inspections, progress, safety concerns, and causes for delay
  • To be responsible for the inspection of the workmanship and practices of contractors and/or crews engaged in construction
  • Maintain job-site files, documents, reports and daily log; prepare periodic reports for
  • Project manager and Architect as required
    Attend all job-site meetings as a Cytonn Real Estate representative or in conjunction with Project Manager

    Qualifications

  • A grade of C+ and above in KCSE (or equivalent) with good grades in Maths and languages
  • Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Construction or
  • Structural Engineering would be preferable. and above or any other relevant qualification.
  • Registration at the Institute of Clerk of Works of Kenya will be an added advantage
  • Practical Knowledge of project plan development and implementation
  • At least 8 years of experience with a preference for managing big projects
  • An in-depth knowledge of the construction industry
  • A sound knowledge of building regulations
    Responsible and work under pressure depending on site program deadline
  • Good organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
    Good written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to liaise with staff at all levels

    Job Description

    The Financial Advisor will report to the Unit Manger and work on strategic plans and initiatives to increase relationship productivity and develop proper contact networks within the channel partners.

    Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell our products to existing and prospective clients
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach potential customers through cold calling
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Attend prospect and client meetings to make presentations and oversee follow up
  • Identifying opportunities for product development, and other product offerings

    Qualifications

  • KCSE grade C- and above
  • Diploma or Degree holder in any field
  • Proven work experience as a financial advisor
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Head of Academic Affairs, the Examination Officer will be in charge of all matters relating to students’ examination registration, booking, administration and records

    Responsibilities

  • To manage inquiries received via e-mail and telephone relating to examinations;
  • To process examination entries received from candidates;
  • Ensure that students are registered for their respective examinations on time;
  • Assist in supervision of the conduct of both internal and external examinations;
  • Keep up-to-date with all examination requirements and ensure that staff and students are aware of the relevant regulations
  • Assist in the preparation for and organization of all exams, both internal and external, in accordance with the regulations laid down by the regulators, the examination board and the institutions management;
  • To receive, record and store all examination papers as they arrive and be responsible for all examination stationery;
  • Assist in providing a solution for students who have an exam clash, or other special requirements and ensure arrangements for candidates with special needs are made during their examinations;
  • Be present at the start and finish of each examination session where possible and to check attendance according to seating plans;

    Qualifications

  • Be a holder of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Have experience in a distinguished tertiary college and career experience of not less than
  • 2 years, preferably as an Examination Officer;
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the Ministry of Education’s and TVETA’s college guiding policy;
  • Have knowledge of various examining bodies, their requirements, and exam schedules;
  • Have experience in exam registration process with various examining bodies;
    Should have outstanding supervisory, problem analysis and listening skills;
  • Should demonstrate the ability to grow, support and develop young talents;
