Job Description

  • Provide sound, coherent and commercially minded advice and compliance support on all matters relating to the organisation's day-to-day activities

  • Review and provide recommendations on the legal/compliance aspects and considerations for the development and deployment of new products and services as well as any key business initiatives

  • Partnering with senior management, legal counsels and external consultants, assist in drafting compliance manuals, policies, procedures and frameworks

  • Advise on the impact of laws, regulations and codes on current or proposed business activities

  • Ensuring that customers have provided adequate KYC documentation

  • Checking and validating customer provided KYC information

  • Ensure the organization adheres to the data protection act and other relevant legislations

  • Ensure that any external communication by the company or on its behalf respect confidentiality clauses of agreements

  • Keep updated compliance checklists & status.

  • Communicate any gaps and actions together with guidance on closure.

    Candidate Specification

    Experience

  • 7 years

    Education Level

  • Degree

    Qualifications

  • BA/BCOM/BS with 5years relevant experience in compliance/risk assessment/management

  • Software

  • Tech savvy and innovative

  • Equipment

  • Computers and office equipment

  • Knowledge Of
    Local/regional regulatory framework; conversant with best practice in industry & globally.

    Other Requirements

  • Global systems interfaces knowledge and exposure
