JASBEL Energy Project Technical Manager Jobs in Ethiopia; The Project Technical Manager is responsible for managing the technical department, overseeing all technical projects, and ensuring the timely and efficient installation solar/electrical related works. This role involves resource allocation, quality control, project monitoring, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• BSc/ MSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

• 12 years of experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector, at least 3 in management.

• Prior experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Allocate resources (personnel, equipment, vehicles) for installations, ensuring necessary tools and materials are prepared.

• Develop and maintain a technical diary tracking ongoing projects, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Evaluate, plan, execute, and finalize projects within agreed timeframes.

• Ensure real-time updates to the Project Manager regarding installation progress via email or phone.

2. Installation Monitoring & Quality Assurance

• Oversee daily installations to ensure on-time, error-free project delivery.

• Establish and enforce quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) standards for all technical projects.

• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure project milestones are met.

• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enforce adherence.

3. Team & Safety Management

• Track and manage team working hours and assignments.

• Ensure all technicians receive appropriate training and comply with safety regulations.

• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the technical team.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Ensure the proper use of checklists and flowcharts across all technical operations.

• Complete and archive all technical checklists in the project’s Technical File.

• Provide weekly reports on installation activities to the Project Manager and monthly reports to senior management.

5. System Analysis & Optimization

• Analyze systems and equipment to identify inefficiencies or malfunctions, implementing solutions to optimize performance.

• Evaluate and integrate new materials and equipment to improve engineering practices and cost management.

• Develop and oversee short-term and long-term maintenance strategies for company projects.

6. Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to installations.

• Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.



7. Other Duties


• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support company objectives.

Reporting Structure

Reports directly to the Project Manager.
