About the RoleCrown Agents is looking for Ghanaian trade experts for a potential USAID trade related programme, focused on developing capacity and trade networks of public institutions and SMEs in the agribusiness sector.
A key component of the programme will be to enhance trade andnd customs systems and procedures, resulting in reduced time and costs for domestic and international trade of the agribusiness sector.
We are looking for an experienced Customs Facilitation Expert and Trade Logistics Expert, ideally with significant experience working with relevant stakeholders in Ghana (eg Ministry of Trade, GRA, Ghana Shippers Agency, etc).
About you
Essential
Minimum 15 years’ experience in the cargo transport / logistics sector including 5 years in consultancy
Previous employment, at senior level, in the transport and / or freight forwarding sector in Ghana and / or ECOWAS region
Experience of cross-stakeholder engagement, such as GRA / Ministry of Transport / Trade Associations
Experience of related international organisations, such as FIATA, IMO
Knowledge of international transport conventions for road, sea, air, rail freight
Experience of multi-modal transport operations and the principles of intermodal connectivity, including infrastructure, legislative, procedural aspects.
Practical knowledge of Public Private
Partnerships
Good report writing skills
Ghanaian national
Preferable
Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
Other freight forwarders qualification
Previous related consultancy roles
