CrossBoundary Compensation & Benefits Manager Jobs in Kenya; CrossBoundary is recruiting a full‑time People Operations Manager – Compensation & Benefits to join the People Team. The role will manage global payroll, mature manual workflows into integrated systems, and build a clear approach to rewarding and supporting employees across jurisdictions. This is a builder‑operator role, balancing system design with hands‑on execution.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations & Transformation

  • Own and transform payroll processes into structured, automated systems.

  • Manage payroll inputs (new joiners, salary changes, bonuses, deductions, loans, terminations).

  • Ensure readiness for new jurisdictions, including statutory obligations and provider selection.

  • Co‑run monthly HR‑Finance reviews and progressively automate workflows.

  • Act as single point of contact for employee payroll queries.

  • Build centralized playbooks and self‑serve guides.

  • Implement audit trails for compensation changes.

    Benefits Administration
  • Audit current benefits coverage and design frameworks for site‑based teams.

  • Lead phased rollout of locally appropriate packages.

  • Run periodic reviews of key plans and recommend optimizations.

  • Oversee day‑to‑day benefits administration and ensure timely enrollment.

    Compensation Systems & Operations
  • Administer compensation structure, including annual bonus operations and salary changes.

  • Standardize pay structure conventions in BambooHR.

  • Design and drive regular compensation review cycles.

  • Support leadership on compensation philosophy and transparency.

    Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree
    in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

  • 9+ years’ experience in People Operations or HR, with depth in payroll, compensation, or benefits.

  • Systems builder with ability to design and automate processes.

  • Outcome‑focused, thrives on achieving goals without predefined blueprints.

  • Execution‑proud, ensuring flawless monthly cycles.

  • Comfortable navigating international labor and payroll requirements.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring junior team members.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems, especially BambooHR.
