Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:

Have a diploma in any of the following fields: Building and Civil Engineering; Construction technician part III; or its equivalent and relevant qualification from
recognized institution;

Have Proficiency in computer applications;

Have good inter-personal and communication skills; and

Be a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect and oversee building constructions;

Ensure building codes and NEMA requirements are adhered to during constructions;

Report and issue stoppage and enforcement notices;

Ensure prescribed fees is paid;

Monitor and evaluate suitability and habitability of buildings;

Issue completion and occupation certificates; and

Any other duties as may be assigned by County Director of Physical Planning.
