Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:

Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics, Estate Management, Property Management and Valuation, Facilities Management, Building Economics, Architecture, Regional Development/Urban Planning, Building/Construction Management, or any other equivalent and relevant qualification from a
recognized university;

Be a Registered member of a relevant professional body;

Have proficiency in computer applications;

Have good inter-personal and communication skills; and

Be a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities

Review, formulate, monitor and evaluate County housing sector policies;

Co-ordinate housing sector incentives;

Document County’s status on housing and human settlement by undertaking housing survey;

Implement housing development programmes including housing schemes;

Conduct feasibility studies on housing development; and

Any other duties that may be assigned by the County Director of Housing and Urban development.
