County Public Service Board of Nyandarua Cartographer Jobs in Kenya

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade a candidate must:

Have at least two (2) years’ experience in Cartography

Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Philosophy in Technology (Geo-informatics/ Geo-informatics and Information Technology), Technology in Geo-informatics, Technology in Geomatics, Geo-spatial Engineering, Land Surveying and Photogrammetry, Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering from a recognized Institution.

Be an Affiliate/ Associate membership of Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK)

Have a Certificate in computer applications; and

Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Drawing survey and deed plans, large area, registry index maps, large area boundary schedules and preliminary index diagrams;

Preparing topographical base maps for special purpose maps;

Reviewing base maps from aerial imageries;

Collecting data from geo-spatial data sources;

Acquiring raster, vector and geographical names, data sets; and

Repairing mapping records.
