County Government of Vihiga Registered Nurse III Jobs

Vihiga County Public Service Board is a Body corporate established under section 57 of the County Government Act 2012 pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Section 59 of the County Government Act 2012 outlines the functions of the Board.

Pursuant to Constitution and Legal provisions Vihiga County Public Service Board invites applications from qualified persons for the following position:

Registered Nurse III

Roles and responsibilities

To supervise the implementation of nursing care plans, and conduct nursing education activities
in the ward.

To supervise the preparation and maintenance of patient clinical records, ensure maintenance of
established inventory standards for medicines solutions, supplies and equipment in the ward

Prepares ward duty roster

Supervises nursing interns and students

Requirements for Appointment.

Must be a Kenyan citizen.

Must have diploma from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) or other registered and recognize medical training colleges in any of the following:

Kenya registered Community Health Nursing.

Kenya registered nursing.

Kenya registered midwifery.

Must have registration certificate from Nursing Council of Kenya.

Must possess valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.

Should have a certificate in computer application skills form a recognized institution.

Must meet the requirement of the

Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
