County Government of Nyeri Veterinary Officer Jobs in Kenya



Responsibilities

  • Undertake disease control activities such as disease search, vaccination, and enforcement of livestock movement regulations.

  • Participate in training stakeholders in vector control programmes.

  • Treat sick animals and advise on good veterinary practices.

  • Collect data and prepare reports on animal health, products, and markets.

  • Provide advice on animal breeding and welfare.

  • Undertake post-mortem examinations and other diagnostic tests.

  • Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen (attach ID).

  • KCPE and KCSE Certificates (attach copies).

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) degree from a recognized institution.

  • Registered by the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) and retained in the register.

  • Member of a registered professional association representing veterinary surgeons.

  • Licensed by KVB with a valid practicing license.

  • Relevant experience of two years and above (attach evidence).
