County Government of Nyeri Director Valuation and Housing Jobs in Kenya



Responsibilities

  • Advise the Executive Committee Member on rating methods and rates.

  • Provide technical advice to stakeholders and clients on valuation and rating matters.

  • Act as custodian of the valuation roll and supplementary valuation roll.

  • Prepare and manage the county valuation roll and rates register.

  • Advise on area rating and ratable property matters.

  • Administer area rates and valuation roll.

  • Prepare schedules of rates and issue clearance certificates.

  • Supervise, manage, develop, and appraise staff.

  • Coordinate activities in the Valuation Department.

  • Formulate and implement county valuation policies.

    Requirements

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen (attach ID).

  • KCPE and KCSE Certificates (attach copies).

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields (mandatory).

  • At least seven years’ experience in valuation.

  • Minimum three years in a senior leadership role.

  • Full member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (VEMS Chapter).

  • Registered by the Valuers Registration Board.

  • Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) or equivalent.

  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
