County Government of Nyeri County Accountant II Jobs in Kenya
Responsibilities
Assist in preparation of financial statements and books of accounts.
Handle revenue collection and accounting.
Assist in budgeting and budget monitoring.
Prepare and verify vouchers in line with regulations.
Perform routine accounting work such as balancing cashbooks and imprest ledgers.
Ensure safe custody of records and assets.
Undertake bank reconciliations.
Maintain departmental vote books.
Maintain receipts ledgers in IFMIS.
Update retention cashbook and bank reconciliations.
Update and capture assets in IFMIS.
Carry out invoicing and validation in IFMIS.
Maintain income and expenditure records of donor-funded special purpose accounts.
Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Be a Kenyan Citizen (attach ID).
KCPE and KCSE Certificates (attach copies).
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business Administration (Accounting or Finance option).
CPA Part II or equivalent qualification.
Relevant experience of two years and above (attach evidence).
