County Government of Nyeri Chief Superintendent Engineer (Irrigation) / Assistant Director, Water and Irrigation Jobs in Kenya




Responsibilities

  • Implement policies and programmes for irrigation development.

  • Train graduate engineers and technicians.

  • Supervise preparation of irrigation tender documents.

  • Study and compile reports on socio-economic and environmental impact of irrigation development.

  • Promote research in the irrigation sector.

  • Coordinate establishment of irrigation management information systems.

  • Carry out monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects.

  • Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen (attach ID).

  • KCPE and KCSE Certificates (attach copies).

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering disciplines.

  • Master’s degree (added advantage).

  • Registered as an Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board.

  • Corporate membership with the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).

  • Certificate in Senior Management Course (minimum four weeks).

  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
